SAN FRANCISCO, CA
A year and a half ago, the beautiful Franklin family moved to the Bay Area, California from Nashville, Tennessee. I'm sure glad they did because it was an honor to meet them at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco for a one and a half hour photo session. Their eldest daughter's 16 birthday, a huge milestone in a young lady's life, sparked the idea. Since she has a love for fashion, movies, the beach, and music, we were set on finding the right artsy location near some water.
The Palace of Fine Arts, considered one of the most recognizable landmarks to take photos at in San Francisco, was a top location that came to mind because it is fun, has monumental architecture, is outdoors, and even has a large lagoon. With all of that said, we had an endless amount of stunning backdrops to choose from. I would shoot at this location again in a heart beat. The Palace of Fine Arts is an Instagram worthy spot for sure!
In the end, the most memorable part of our time together was learning we have a few things in common. For example, their eldest daughter is also learning to play the ukulele, and she goes to the same high school I went to. Learning that last fact on the day of was a huge, happy surprise.
The loving bond the Franklin family shares will never be forgotten. Their pure joy and warm vibe was effortless. They are all naturals in front of the camera, and we had so much fun!
